With Mitchell Davey still not fit to resume following his broken wrist a fortnight ago Scotwaste Monarchs have called up Mildenhall rider Josh Bates to fill in at reserve at Somerset on Tuesday. Barnsley born Bates started the season in the Scunthorpe Premier League team and most recently has been knocking up big scores for the Fen Tigers. He is mentored by Louis Carr.
