"With our team at its weakest, it seems to be one difficult match after another after another after another and on it goes for the Scotwaste Monarchs and Workington will provide strong opposition on Friday night.

Originally the Comets had hoped that Tero Aarnio would return to their team but, in fact, he has a visit to the doctor in Finland on Friday and if he is given the all clear he could make his return on Saturday in the return at Derwent Park. Tero has never been a high scorer at Armadale and it could very well be that the additional ride that Kyle Howarth will take will easily cover for the missing points.

Scotwaste Monarchs will be without Jozsef Tabaka and Mitchell Davey and whilst there has been no further update from Hungary, Mitchell was part of the team that made an all day presentation to a Bathgate school on Thursday and he confirmed that the plaster will be removed from his wrist in two weeks’ time and he hopes to have a try out on 5th July with a view to returning to the team thereafter. That will be good news as it is sometimes very difficult to find a guest replacement, as is the case for Workington on Saturday night.

Looking ahead a week to our beach party on 28th June, one of the attractions will be the opportunity to have your photograph taken with your favourite Monarchs on our desert island. The Scotwaste Monarchs will be in their beach gear and you’ll have to be too if you want to be in a photo.

All those booked on the bus to Workington on Saturday will be able to pick up their admission ticket and full instruction at the video table on the Monarchs Mall on Friday evening.
