Craig Cook lines up in the British Final at Wolverhampton this evening hoping to secure a place in the British Grand Prix at Cardiff next month.

Craig lines up at number 15 in tonight's field and if he wins the event he will be given the wildcard for Cardiff. In fact he could even finish behind Tai Woffinden and Chris Harris and still win that place. Can he do it?

If he treats this meeting as he treats all his Premier League matches then he will have an excellent chance. However, if he shows his patchy Elite League form then it will be a struggle. Certainly after his first heat blip on Friday he showed great form in his remaining races and his two rides at Workington on Saturday.

There are twelve Premier League riders in the field and there is no doubt that Craig is the best of them. From the exclusively Elite league riders Woffinden and Harris are joined by Eastbourne's Lewis Bridger and his Belle Vue teammate and Wolverhampton track expert Scott Nicholls.

We'll soon know if Craig can do it.
