The Scotwaste Monarchs are involved in Knock Out Cup action for the first time this season with the first leg of our quarter final tie against Berwick taking place at Shielfield this evening

Although parts of east central Scotland are very dreich this Saturday afternoon, Berwick has avoided any significant rain up to now and the Bandits promotion are very hopeful that the match will go ahead, on schedule, with a 7.00pm start.

The Scotwaste Monarchs are at full strength for the match but Berwick will be without David Bellego who is in Italy for the first World Under 21 Grand Prix. Rider replacement will cover his absence giving the chance of additional rides to Matthew Wethers, Steen Jensen and reserves Matej Kus and Liam Carr.

Under normal circumstances anything less than a ten point defeat in an away cup tie would be considered a good result but with losing not on the Scotwaste Monarchs agenda this year it is a win that is tonight's target!
