Edinburgh Monarchs
The Scotwaste Monarchs will be aiming to move another step closer to the Premier League Pay=off final when they race Workington Comets at Armadale this evening.
The Scotwaste Monarchs need to take four points from the two matches against Workington this weekend. That would require a win by more than six points on Friday night at Armadale and a defeat by no more than six at Workington on Saturday night. Of course the Comets are still very mch in the competition also as tonight will be their first of four matches in the play-off competition.
Comets number one, Josh Grajczonek, broke his collar bone in an after race crash at the PLRC at Sheffield on Sunday but they have called up an adequate replacement in Kevin Doolan who did so well for Berwick last week. No so easily replaced is reserve Joe Jacobs who is required to race for Wolverhampton at Coventry this evening. Although they can bring in a Premier League guest, it has proved impossible to secure the services of such a rider and therefore they use Scunthorpe's National League rider, Ryan Macdonald instead.
Scotwaste Monarchs are free of illness and injury tonight and will be at full strength.
Advance ticket sales would suggest that we are to expect a big crowd this evening. You can pay by debit or credit card by going to the advance ticket gate.
It will be possible to purchase tonight your ticket for the End of Season Dinner Dance at the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel on Saturday 1st November. Tickets are priced at £35 until 17th October and thereafter they will increase to £37.50. Tickets available at the Club Shop tonight and a deposit of £5 will reserve a ticket.
