The Scotwaste Monarchs make the long trip to Ipswich this evening to contest the first leg of the Knock Out Cup Final.

The Monarch with the shortest journey, Stevie Worrall, who lives in Cleethorpes, won't be there. Stevie is due to become a father at the end of the month but his partner, Annabelle, has gone into labour early and Stevie, wishes to be with her.

The Scotwaste Monarchs have made a request to Management Committee and this has been granted. Rider replacement will cover for. Stevie this evening giving extra rides to Max Fricke, Justin Sedgmen and the reserves.

Despite the absence of Stevie the Scotwaste Monarchs go into tonight's match in confident mood with the clear hope that we can keep the scores close enough to give us a chance of aggregate victory at Armadale on Friday. The Scotwaste Monarchs drew at Foxhall in the league earlier in the season so it is a track that holds no fears for the team.

The Witches have been in good form recently, particularly at home. They have lost only once on the own track all season and that was against Peterborough early in the season. Their three home draws were also early in the season and they have been dominant on their own track in recent weeks with Rohan Tungate and Richie Worrall particularly impressive.

Once again every point will be vital to the Scotwaste Monarchs.
