As with several clubs, Theo Pijper is awaiting news on visas for riders who want to ride for him in the Night of Champions which opens the Scottish Speedway Scottish speedway season on Friday 20th March (7:30pm).

New Glasgow signing Aaron Summers will be riding for Theo though, he doesn’t have a problem with visas, and another Aussie who is riding, and so will team up with his team mate from 2013, is Rusty Harrison. Rusty has a Testimonial of his own at Workington on 11th April and was happy to ride for Theo with whom he had a good relationship in the Glasgow side last season – in fact they finished the top two in the averages.

He said “Theo and I had some cracking races together and got on really well. Obviously it wasn’t a great season for the team but it was enjoyable and I got quite a bit of love back for the sport.”

The visa situation should be clarified soon, with several more riders keen to ride subject to availability, and there will be at least a couple of riders new to British Speedway.

There are opportunities for supporters and businesses to purchase sponsorship packages for the event:

RACE SPONSORSHIPS at £200 each

RIDER SPONSORSHIPS at £100 each

WORK WITH THE REFEREE - £150

TYRES or FUEL & OIL at £30 each
