BEN COMPLETES THEO'S LINEUP

The field for the Theo Pijper Night of Champions which opens the Scottish Speedway season on Friday 20th March (7:30pm) has been completed with the addition of Berwick no. 1 Ben Barker.

Theo said “I always wanted Ben to be in it, but in the end he came to me and asked to ride. He’s a controversial rider but he’s the type that fans like to come to watch.”

Berwick now have four riders in the field, Barker, Vissing, Doolan and Jorgensen so it will give Berwick fans a chance to see their riders early in the season.

The meeting will be an individual event of 16 heats, two semis and a Grand Final, with prizes for all the finalists. There will also be junior races which will feature Kyle Bickley who is the reigning 2014 125cc World Champion.

THE FULL FIELD: Kenneth Hansen, Claus Vissing, Aaron Summers, Kevin Wolbert, Rene Deddens, Henkie Koonstra, Rusty Harrison, Theo Pijper, Sam Masters, Thomas Jorgensen, Kevin Doolan, Adam Roynon, Rafal Konopka, Pascal Swart, Rob Branford, Ben Barker.

FREE BUS: The bus coming from Edinburgh will run as it does on every speedway Friday, but for this event it will be FREE to passengers coming out for the Night of Champions. It departs from the Jewel at 5:45 then Waterloo Place, by St Andrew's House at 6.15pm, picking up at Haymarket (6.25pm) and the Maybury (6.35pm).

ADMISSION: Prices will be at the 2015 club rate for admission on the night which is: Adults £17, Seniors/Students £14, Child 12 to 16 £8, Child under 12 £2. For the Testimonial we will not have an advance ticket facility, and please remember that season tickets do not apply.

HOSPITALITY: We will have a few tickets available for a night in Hospitality at £40 per head. These entitle the holder to admission, programme, buffet and free bar for the evening watching from the Hospitality area. Please email mike.hunter@edinburghmonarchs.co
