FINAL PREPARATIONS COMPLETE

Final preparations at Armadale Stadium have been completed for tonight's season opener Theo's Night of Champions, the Theo Pijper Testimonial.

Theo has suffered some nervous days and nights in the past week as one or two challenges have arisen that have successfully been overcome. The Pijper family have been very much hands on in helping with the promotion of the event and Theo freely admitted earlier in the week, "I can cope easily with racing motorcycles but I'm not sure that I'd like to move onto to being a speedway promoter."

Theo's committee has put together an interesting field and the meeting will also feature junior racing with schoolboys of varying age groups staging demonstration races. Theo's own sons Ace and Stene may well appear in these events.

Theo has gained many friends in Scotland racing for both Edinburgh and Glasgow and many fans from both camps will turn out to produce a bumper crowd to celebrate Theo's marvellous career.

Get there early. Gates open at 6.30pm and the meeting will start promptly at 7.30pm. There's a lot to get through!
