Although it was all quiet on the UK front on Thursday for the Border Roofing Monarchs we did have three riders in action on a busy day for speedway in Europe.

Sam Masters and Erik Riss both lined up in the German Open at Olching on Thursday afternoon. It was a high class field and they both did well to finish on 10 points. Incredibly that score wasn't enough to take either of them to the six man final. Our old friend Jozsef Tabaka was another participant in the meeting.

Over in Sweden on Thursday evening Justin Sedgmen was in action in the Avesta Masters and his four wins and an exclusion was good enough to take him through to the final. In that race he was pushed back to third on the first corner and that's were he finished. A good night for Sedgy though.

Friday night looks like being a busy night at Armadale with hospitality close to capacity and advance ticket sales well on the way to being the highest of the season out with Glasgow matches. We'll be making an announcement during the evening about a special event coming up later this month.
