For the first time this season it looks like the weather will be kind to us and we will be able to stage a meeting at Armadale on Friday evening without the threat of rain.

We open the defence of our Premier league title with a meeting against Workington Comets and they are sure to provide stern opposition for our first league meeting.

Although it is always possible to pay at the gate, advance tickets purchased for our rained off meetings against Belle Vue and Glasgow will be valid for this meeting.

Captain Sam Masters faces a busy few days. On Thursday evening he was down in Norfolk guesting for King's Lynn and he scored four and two bonus in the Stars 51 - 42 win over Leicester. On Friday he'll be at Armadale and will lead the team again at Workington on Saturday before flying out to Poland for an away match for Gdansk at Rzeszow where he will come up against our old favourite Jozsef Tabaka in the home team.
