Monarchs 100 Coming Up

A week on Sunday (28th) is the Monarchs’ Fundraising Walk, the Monarchs 100, organised by Scott Wilson and Derek Wilkinson. We are crossing the Forth Road Bridge (one way or two) will be waved off by Alan Longmuir of the Bay City Rollers and the cast of Liam Rudden’s “I Ran With the Gang”.

Sponsorship forms at the Monarchs Mall on Friday. Scott's main concern is to finalise numbers for catering and transport purposes so please get your name down on the list at the Mall if you are, or might be, taking part.

Scott says "We'll not hold it against you if you say you're coming and then something crops up, but please give us your name if you might be coming."

Transport organised by Derek at Duddingston Private Hire.

There are 2 coaches

1. Departing Asda at the Jewel at 10am on Sunday 28th then the usual Friday route to Maybury and the Forth Road Bridge for 11:15 approx

2. Departing Black Bull Inn in Mid Calder at 10am to Livingston Centre, Deer Park, Armadale Speedway, Bathgate Centre to Forth Road Bridge for 11:15 approx.

One coach will park on the north side of the Bridge to collect those who only wish to walk one way. The other coach will park on the south side for everyone else

After the walk the coaches will take everyone to the Black Bull in Mid Calder for lunch of soup and Mark McGill pies. Lunch is free and has been donated by Donald McLauchlan and Mark McGill

If you wish to travel to Newcastle for the meeting that night then travel is £10 return for those who have over £40 in sponsorship. If you are not attending the meeting then a coach will take you back to your pick up point.
