Erik Riss was back on the long track scene at the weekend with the second round of the World Long Track Grand Prix in Eernum in Holland.

The meeting was due to start at one o'clock on Sunday afternoon but after the practice the rain came down and after a delay of five hours the meeting was put back to 11.00am on Monday morning.

Erik had a perfect record in his qualifying races and had five wins. He added another win in his semi final. In the final he was defeated by Dimitri Berge and reigning champion Jannick de Jong. That gave him a points haul on the day of 26 points.

Erik now leads the series with 51 points ten ahead of de Jong and eleven ahead of Berge.

The next round is in Finland on Saturday and he flies out from Heathrow on Saturday morning.
