  Edinburgh Monarchs

The Monarchs 100 is just days away and this is a call to arms to those of you still undecided as to whether to join us. We're walking across the Forth Road Bridge to raise funds to support the club through a torrid period of rain offs.

So far 8 meetings have fallen foul of the weather but the club still have to foot bills despite gaining no gate income so we're doing our bit on Sunday. Come and join us walking across the Bridge then enjoy a hearty lunch at the Black Bull in Mid Calder. Hot soup and Mark McGill's pies are provided free for all walkers. Transport is also provided free courtesy of Duddingston Private Hire from both Edinburgh and West Lothian with a special bonus for Monarchs fans travelling to support the team at Newcastle; if you raise a minimum of £40 then you can travel to Newcastle for just a tenner.

Take some time out of your Sunday to walk for The Monarchs. If you want to take the bus from either Edinburgh or West Lothian please follow the instructions below and bring your friends as the more the merrier!

Coach details if that’s how you are getting there:

  1. Departing Asda at the Jewel at 10am on Sunday 28th then the usual Friday route to Maybury and the Forth Road Bridge for 11:15 approx
  2. Departing Black Bull Inn in Mid Calder at 10am to Livingston Centre, Deer Park, Armadale Speedway, Bathgate Centre to Forth Road Bridge for 11:15 approx.

One coach will park on the north side of the Bridge to collect those who only wish to walk one way. The other coach will park on the south side for everyone else

See you on Sunday, Scott
