We are now over halfway through unveiling the riders that will battle it out for the Harrisons Scottish Open Championship with tapes due to fly in just 2 weeks time.

We can now reveal that the 9th rider with his eye on the trophy that night will be our very own Max Clegg!

Max is of course part of our 2017 septet and this will be a big year for the Yorkshire born racer. Max takes the step into the main body of the Monarchs team and also will no longer have the comfort of the National League for confidence boosting wins.

This will be Max’s maiden Open but with his Armadale expertise he cannot be taken lightly and he is another that will look to play a spoiler role and maybe pinch a semi or final spot. Max has already been in action this year scoring 1 point in a tough field at the BEN Fund Bonanza meeting at Glasgow last week. Max shouldn’t be overly disappointed with his performance though as he gated sharply and improved heat on heat. The Open will provide another opportunity for Max to showcase himself against some of the top riders in the division.
