We can now reveal the full line-up for the upcoming Caledonian Riders' Championship, in association with Linlithgow Tyres and Exhausts which will take place at Armadale a week on Friday on the 30th of June.
A strong looking line-up has been assembled with the cream of the crop from the northern National League circuit being joined by a host of local faces who will be looking to take some scalps.
Event organiser Scott Frame is delighted with the line-up and had the following to say "I think the line up we've put together is one that will capture the imagination of the fans. I've said a few times that the chase for top spot on the podium will be hotly contested and with the inclusion of the likes of Dan Bewley, Max Clegg, Mitchell Davey and Liam Carr we have real top drawer National League pedigree.
"We have a great mix in the field. We have top end guys who'll be chasing the win, but we have boys in the field who will benefit hugely from the experience of racing in the event.
"There are a few names that stick out in there but I'm sure one that a lot of fans will want to see is Kyle Bickley. Kyle is in his first year with Belle Vue in the National League after a decorated career in the youth ranks. Since taking the step up he's excelled in the Colts side and I think Armadale will present a new challenge to him, especially in this type of field.
"It's going to be a big night for local youngster Kev Whelan who's had tastes on the National League in the past. Kev is a young Scottish rider that I really enjoy watching and my hope is that he can go out and score some points against NL regulars.
"We've had a very short period to get things together and it's incredible to think this idea was only born a week ago. Since then we've had an incredible response from potential sponsors and riders, I can't thank everyone enough.
"Sponsorship packages are selling well and we still have heat and rider sponsorship packages available. I think these will sell fast this week so if you're interested in one of our packages please get in contact with us ASAP."
The hope is to make this a real family occasion at Armadale with attractions outside of the racing and Scott would also like to invite any youth clubs, sports team, boys brigades etc that are interested in attending the event to get in touch with him. For this meeting we are offering free entry for all children who are part of an associated club and any adult accompanying the clubs will receive a special discount and will be admitted for only £5.
