Staggs Bar Monarchs have confirmed that they are in the hunt to bring Richie Worrall to the Club.

Speaking of the move co-promoter John Campbell said, "I've had initial and productive talks with Richie since his release by Glasgow earlier in the week and we're close to shaking hands on a deal. Really the last remaining hurdle that we're discussing is the cost of a set of kevlars. Richie points out that he only has one set and I've we've seen on the BT televised match from Leicester last Monday and in his guest booking for Ipswich on Friday, they are coloured red and white. We've both quickly agreed that a suit of more appropriate colouring would be good but it's something we, as a club, have ever provided for any rider in the past."

Campbell continued, "So I wish to make an appeal to business or supporter to step forward and support the purchase. Maybe we could get a few supporters to band together to give some help."

Explaining the move Campbell said, "I've said throughout the season that if our big two can get 25 then we're in with a chance anywhere but really that means dropping only three points between them, Of course that's a tough job and I think that Richie will add consitent points home and away especially as Armadale is one of his favourite tracks. We've still got the League and Knock Out Cup to race for so our season still has a long way to run."
