Everyone at Armadale will be pleased to hear that Mark Riss has found a new club already and has joined the Ipswich Witches.

He guested successfully for them last season so he is already known to Chris Louis and his colleagues. He should be well looked after at Foxhall Heath. He has been with Monarchs since 10th June 2016 when he made his debut with a single point – against Ipswich!

In truth Mark is a bargain on his 4.86 average, but his current form just didn't fit the makeup of our team in which he was the senior member of the middle pairing. He had dropped from 5.68 at the start of the season and of course we were looking for him to increase that.

We wish him every success. The only possibility we could meet Ipswich again this season is if we both qualify for the Playoffs.

Max Ruml rides this week in Sheffield's Top Gun individual meeting so fingers crossed for the young American for a good performance and a chance with another club.
