While many may believe that it is a case of job done after the 28 point first leg lead there is no one in the Staggs Bar Monarchs camp who is feeling complacent as we head for Derwent Park looking to finish the job on Saturday evening.

The Comets have shown their strength at home over the course of the year none more so than in recent weeks and are sure to be a different proposition to that that the Monarchs faced at Armadale and as in any two legged affair it is truly only half time at the moment.

The Monarchs can take solace from their past performances at Derwent Park so far this year though with two narrow defeats and never less than 42 points scored and of course should the Blue and Gold hit that figure again then a KO Cup final awaits against either Scunthorpe, Lakeside or Peterborough.

There are changes for both sides from the first leg with Jake Allen guesting for Dan Bewley and Jordan Stewart stepping in for Joel Andersson.

The Monarchs will be looking for a repeat performance from that gained so far from our heat leader trio with all 3 having hit double digits in Cumbria this year and if Josh Pickering can continue on his recent form then the belief has to be our top 4 will have enough to cement that final place let alone with the expected back-up that will come from Victor, William and guest Stewart.

Can the Monarchs finish the job; if you cannot make it to Derwent Park then the only place to find out is on the official website with live updates available from tapes up at 7pm.
