Monarchs are pleased to announce that the fixture list for the 2019 season has been released.
The 2019 season will kick start at Armadale Stadium on Friday 12th April with the Spring Spectacular, details of which will be announced shortly.
Explaining the later than normal start co-promoter John Campbell said, "I think that March is too early to start. We have a much greater chance of poor weather at that time. Last year's first meeting rain off against Glasgow affected us for the whole season and I don't want that to happen again. A later start will also enable us to have fixture continuity. We'll start with something special, full details of which will be announced in early March, and then, hopefully, run every Friday thereafter. That's the plan anyway."
On Sunday 14th April the team will race in the first official match of the season away at Scunthorpe in the Knock Out Cup.
Thereafter it's SGB Championship Shield action until mid-May with the team facing group opponents Newcastle, Glasgow and Berwick.
Stepping up to the SGB Championship in 2019 are Birmingham and Eastbourne, who will visit later in May and July.
Other highlights include the Scottish Open Championship as riders battle for the Jack Young Memorial Trophy while the burgeoning Caledonian Riders Championship also returns.
Tickets for the opening night will go on sale in March.
The popular Season Launch Show will return in early April with date and location to be confirmed shortly.
In the mean time, don't forget the 2018 Away Highlights Show and Tatum and Pearson Live are coming up in March - you can secure your tickets now over on our ticketing website!
