We have completed what we believe to be a very interesting field for Friday's Harrison's Scottish Open Championship. We are pleased to say that reigning champ Rory Schlein will be defending, and also seeking a record fifth title, and also that Redcar's fast-improving Jordan Stewart will be contesting the meeting.

There's also one change enforced on us. We were looking forward to seeing Dan Bewley but Dan is in Croatia for a GP qualifier on Saturday, and having initially believed he could get to that event after Friday's meeting, he now finds that it is impossible. In the circumstances we are delighted to welcome Somerset's all-action Argentinian Nico Covatti for his first Scottish Open.

Rory Schlein is having another great year at Wolverhampton and Somerset. He has already scored a maximum at Armadale this season on the Wolves' visit, and no-one is likely to forget his superb ride (last to first) to take the title last season. It will take a very good man to stop him landing that fifth title.

Jordan Stewart is an Aussie at an earlier stage of his career but making excellent progress with Redcar. He's in the main body of the team this year and recently contributed paid 19 to the Bears' excellent KO Cup victory over fancied Somerset. He was in the Caledonian Riders' Championship last year but well deserves his elevation to our senior individual event.

Nico Covatti is one of the most exciting riders around with a wide-riding hang-off-the-bike style. The fact that he can ride like this round a tight circuit like Armadale makes his appearance very attractive indeed. He scored 13 points for Ipswich at Armadale last July. He will be racing in the Grand Prix qualifier at Glasgow on Saturday.

Rory and Jordy are available to sponsor now at £75 each, which includes full hospitality for one and the signed racejacket to take home. You can read more and book your package now by tapping the button below!
