Scottish Open Update

Only two days to go now until the Harrisons Ford Centre Scottish Open Championship takes place at Armadale and we are expecting better luck with the weather this week.

Although east central Scotland has been experiencing some fairly persistent rain throughout Wednesday afternoon much of the very worst of it avoided Armadale. We've got more rain forecast but this is supposed to be petering out by Thursday afternoon with it all gone by nightfall. Friday is due to be a dry day with, maybe , some sunshine.

At this time of year, with temperatures into double figures, it doesn't take long for the track to dry out and heavy rain before a match usually make for a great race track.

From last week's field we have some call-offs. Jordy Stewart will be riding for his own team, Redcar, on Friday and Nico Covatti flies back to Italy on Friday. Joel Andersson will also be missing as he contests a Swedish Championship Semi Final on Friday although he will be back for Berwick on Saturday night.

Available and returning to the line up this week will be Belle Vue's Dan Bewley and Glasgow's Paul Starke, something of a track expert now, joins the line up. Paul will take on the guest duties at Berwick on Saturday night also.

The full line up and preview will be on the website later on Thursday.

Pre Championship day discounted tickets remain on sale . All advance tickets for last week are valid for the meeting as are all Gold Card Plus ticket holders with Gold Card holders being admitted at reduced rates.
