We are very pleased to announce details of the Caledonian Riders Championship which will take place on Friday 5th July featuring some of the very best young talent on show in Britain at the moment.
In confirming the event co-promoter, John Campbell said, "I greatly miss the days when we had a Conference League team in Scotland and it would be my greatest wish to have a team in the National Development League again. However, at the moment, the facilities aren't available and, for that matter, we, probably, don't have enough riders up here to stock a team."
"That's why I'm keen to run this type of event every year as it does give some encouragement to the local riders and I hope that it will give others, who may be considering take up the sport, the hope of contesting an organised tournament. I am also hopeful of giving all the riders, with the help of sponsors, some contribution to their expenses, which they don't often get."
The meeting will feature riders in the 500cc category and in the 125/150cc category and it is anticipated that the meeting will consist of, at least, twenty races.
Admission prices will be £10 for all over 16 year olds, with Blue Reward Card holders charge £9.50 and Gold Members prices at £9. All those aged under 16 will be admitted free of charge.
We have two sponsorship packages available. Heat sponsors are priced at £50 and the sponsor plus a guest may watch the racing from our hospitality area with free entry and programme and enjoy a cold finger buffet and some soft drinks. For £25 a rider sponsor will receive fee admission and programme and entry for one to the hospitality area. There will also be discounts available on sponsorships for Gold Members and Blue Reward Card holders.
