Friday's racing at Armadale sees the staging of the Caledonian Riders' Championship and this year it will feature riders at the lower level of the National Development League (ie the British third tier) and those trying to gain a place in that league.

Dale Devils team manager Alan Budzynski has been in charge of putting the field together and said, "I feel very proud and honoured to have been asked to put tonight's line up together. In the 500cc category we have rider ranging in age from 15 to mid 20s with some in National League and other trying to get there. Within the 125/150cc category we have four young lads that are showing great potential."

"We'll be staging a fifteen heat Championship as the main part of the event with the under 15s getting four rides each."

Here are some to watch out for on Friday:

Elliot Kelly, who has just joined Mildenhall and has already scored double figures for them.

Sheldon Davies, who has just been snapped up by Cradley.

Mason Watson, former grasstracker and Duns Academy graduate who looks very impressive.

George Rothery who has been excelling in Glasgow's junior team.

Plus of course our own Dale Devil brothers Lewis and Gregor Millar, and some of the most talented under age riders in the country. Unfortunately our own Ace and Stene Pijper are away and can't compete on Friday but those who are there will be worth watching.

The Club have been looking for sponsorship in support of the event and have had a good response to heat sponsorship with only three spaces still available at £50. This entitles the sponsor to two spaces in hospitality with a cold finger buffet and a welcoming soft drink.

We are still looking for six rider sponsors with £25 being the rate for which one space will be given within hospitality.

All sponsorships will be used to make a contribution to riders travel expenses and, sponsorship permitting, limited prize money.

All sponsorships can be booked through this website.

Duddingston Private Hire have agreed to run a free bus from Edinburgh to the stadium with the normal departure points and times.

Admission charges on Friday are £10 for adults and seniors and free for all children with discounts available for Gold and Blue card members. The meeting is included as part of the Gold Plus membership.

The full line up is: 500cc Joe Alock, Sheldon Davies, Josh Embleton, Bailey Fellows, Jacob Fellows, Elliot Kelly, Dale Lamb, Gregor Millar, Lewis Millar, Luke Muff, George Rothery, Mason Watson. 125/150cc William Cairns, Archie Freeman, William Hocaniuk, Danny Smith.
