Josh Pickering has declared himself fit and will return to the Staggs Bar Monarchs' line up for the cup semi-final weekend against Newcastle on Friday and Sunday.

After crashing at Birmingham on 22nd May, Josh made an attempt at a comeback on 22nd June at Armadale but that lasted just over a lap before he had to pull out again. Now a further three weeks down the line he is set to try again.

Said Josh, " The last time I felt good and went into that match with Redcar without trying out my shoulder. That was a mistake and I've had an extensive try out over the past weekend and all feels good. I'm ready to get back into the action on Friday and hope to give the whole team a boost in the cup semi-final."

Staggs Bar Monarchs have struggled to satisfactorily replace Josh during his absence and hope that he can quickly return to something like his pre injury form.

Also on the injury front many will have seen Ricky Wells withdrawing from the TV meeting at King's Lynn on Monday night. Ricky reported on Tuesday that all should be well for a track return later in the week. "I couldn't cope with the really grippy track at King's Lynn and had severe pain in my shoulder. I've been to the physio today and I feel much better. I'll be OK for Friday." said Ricky.
