Since returning to the Staggs Bar Monarchs line up at Leicester on 17th July Sam Masters has had such a positive influence on the team not least because of his immense scoring in five matches to date.

There has been a positive buzz around Armadale since his return with his positive nature and his ever smiling demeanour. Sam is currently hoping to take his three teams, Monarchs, Premiership side Wolves and Ostrow in Poland to success this year.

The task facing the Staggs Bar Monarchs in reaching the Play Offs is challenging but not impossible. We have seven matches to go, four at home and three away, and the target is to win them all and by as many points as possible.

Wolverhampton sit just outside the play off position in the Premiership and are, probably, battling with Belle Vue, the team they beat away from home on Monday evening, for the final place. Reports from Wolverhampton suggest that Sam has been riding much better since taking on his Championship role as well.

In Poland Sam top scored for his team, Ostrow, in the first leg of their semi final play off against Gniezno on Sunday. They lost by 9 points in that match but with the home leg to come on Sunday it seems likely that they will progress to the final.

Sam's impact has already been palpable on the atmosphere at Armadale Stadium with crowds increasing to back the Monarchs in our Play Off bid.

Our next big match is against Birmingham at home on Friday as we try to build momentum to reach the SGB Championship Play Offs.
