With still a mathematical chance of qualification for the play offs available to us we welcome the team to Armadale tonight that we hope to replace in the top four, Somerset.

There has been some drizzly rain at Armadale on Friday morning but the forecast is good from early afternoon so we expect no weather worries, and we haven't been able to say that on too many occasions recently.

The Staggs Bar Monarchs will be at full strength. Cameron Heeps came through his comeback match with Ipswich on Thursday evening dropping just one point in a Witches win that guarantees them a play off place in The Premiership.

For the Rebels, they will be without Rory Schlein who picked up a shoulder injury riding for Wolverhampton at Poole on Thursday evening. The Wolves clinched their play off place by winning at Wimbourne Road although the Pirates also clinched their place. That means that all four of our riders who also have Premiership places will be in the Play Offs.

Somerset have been searching for a guest replacement for Rory but with most of the local teams already in action they have been struggling to come up with someone. As Rory is their number one rider replacement will allow them to use any rider to take an extra ride.

There will be a break in tonight's meeting so that we can uplift our annual Speedway Riders' Benevolent Fund collection.

Supporters are reminded that our coach from Edinburgh will not depart from its usual city centre departure point but will, instead, depart at 6.15pm from the last bus stop on London Road.

Gates open at 6.30pm this evening and you can purchase tickets online or at the gate.
