Another win for the weather

In a season that has been plagued with wet Fridays we have, again, suffered a rain off in our quest to complete our Championship campaign with our match with Newcastle on Friday evening again falling victim to the weather.

Friday's initial forecast gave us some hope that, after morning rain, the weather would brighten up into the afternoon but at midday that changed to give us rain until, at least, two o'clock. With the rain falling on an already wet track there was no chance of even drying in the air to allow us to get the meeting on, even if it didn't rain again.

Newcastle have quickly agreed to return next Friday, 4th October, for the third attempt to stage this match with advance tickets purchased for Friday's rain off being valid for next week, as are all outstanding readmission tickets from previous rain-offs.
