With the Staggs Bar Monarchs season coming to an end with the staging of our final Championship match against Newcastle last Friday all eyes now turn to this Saturday (6.00pm) with the staging of the Northern Junior League Riders Championship bringing down the Armadale curtain for 2019.
There is likely to be a change in the proposed race formula on Saturday as Dale Devils team manager, Alan Budzynski explains, " There are only a finite number of riders that we can use in this meeting as every competitor must have contested a league match. We've had two withdrawal from the 500cc Championship following weekend meetings so we now have just nine riders available. I think we'll need to reduce that side of the Championship to eight qualifying heats and a final. On the 125/150cc side we are oversubscribed."
We are still looking for sponsorship for each rider at £20 a go to include admission and a programme for one and programme acknowledgement and PA announcements. Keiran Douglas, Gregor Millar, Lewis Millar, Gavin Parr and Davie Pye are already taking leaving Harry McGurk, George Rotheray and Mason Watson available.
On the 125/150cc side Caydin Martin, Ace Pijper, Stene Pijper and Brandon Wroblewski are taken with William Cairs, Freddie Fox-Barron, Callum Gill, Luke Harrison, William Hocianuk, Danny Smith, Sonny Springer and Ben Trigger available.
We are also looking for heat sponsors at £30 which includes admission and a programme for one, a seat in hospitality and a cold finger buffet with soft drinks. We have seven heats available.
We are grateful to Colin Frame of Frame Brothers Haulage for providing the medals and Trophies.
Gates for the event will open at 5.00pm with an admission price of £10 for adults, seniors and students and all children free. The car park will be free as will the bus from Edinburgh which will depart from all normal departures points 90 minutes earlier than normal.
