British Speedway's governing body, the British Speedway Promoters' Association (BSPA), has extended the delay to the start of the 2020 season.

Following the most recent developments with the coronavirus outbreak worldwide, the decision has been taken to suspend all speedway racing in the UK until at least 15th June 2020.

With the virus continuing to gain pace throughout the world, the UK is not alone in issuing instructions to increase social distancing and effectively lock down for at least the next three weeks, in addition to the most vulnerable advised to isolate for up to three months.

Monarchs chairman Alex Harkess commented, "This is not the news that any speedway fan would have hoped for, but I don't think it is unexpected. The most important thing is that we all follow the government advice to stay home and to stay safe."

What The Fork Monarchs promotion once again thank all supporters for their patience in these unprecedented times and wish everyone the best of health in the coming months. Stay safe.
