Armadale Stadium hosted its first competitive action of 2020 with the successful staging of Round 4 of the British Youth Championship on Saturday.
26 of Britain's brightest young talents completed 31 heats in perfect conditions in just over two hours during a very enjoyable afternoon with some excellent racing.
What The Fork Monarchs Co-Promoter John Campbell kept a close eye on proceedings, "It was great to see so many young riders keen to get out on the track to race. Their enthusiasm is infectious! Coupled with the ideal weather, it made for a terrific afternoon.
"I congratulate all who took part and it was such an enjoyable event that I have already said to Neil Vatcher, British Young Lions manager, that we will host a round in 2021."
The event was the first competitive meeting at Armadale this season and proved a useful exercise, Campbell continued, "A lot of planning, preparation and communication was required to ensure that Armadale Stadium is COVID-Secure.
"We were pleased with our implementation of measures and the compliance with the guidance that we put in place was excellent, for which I thank everyone involved.
"I believe this stands us in good stead for the future, as should the current situation continue then we know that we are able to host speedway safely at Armadale Stadium."
The meeting saw the launch of EMTV:Live streaming service with a promising uptake from speedway supporters across the country.
