Berwick Bandits present the opposition for the What the Fork Monarchs on Friday, and will track their new man Kasper Andersen for his debut as well as having the exceptional youngster Leon Flint still in a reserve berth.

Andersen (ex-Sheffield and Redcar) comes in for Coty Garcia who has had to abandon his plans to return from Argentina where he has been since the season started. His Danish replacement scored 13 points on his only previous Armadale appearance!

Flint has been hitting the headlines with double figure scores for his local team as well as impressive displays for Wolverhampton in the Premiership. The midland club recently selected him as their compulsory 'Rising Star' and he has won heats home and away.

Of course the familiar Berwick regulars Aaron Summers, Nikolai Busk Jakobsen and Jye Etheridge will be in action also. On the home side Kye Thomson drops to reserve with William Lawson moving into the top five of the side.

Alex Harkess will be team manager as he always is for the home meetings, and he says "This week William moves up into the top five of the team which in theory is harder. Maybe that's just what he needs, time will tell, I'd like to believe that Kye will gain from being in the reserve berth and won't be there very long. William shouldn't be fazed because he's done it all before.

"Berwick have one or two riders who have done well at Armadale – at times – but with for example Aaron Summers you can never be sure what he's bringing to the table. At times he looks exceptionally good, other times not. Gappmaier – there's two different Gappmaiers as well isn't there? It's not really dependant on what Berwick do, it's what we do, and if we do what we are capable of we will be fine."

Monarchs' no. 6 Joe Lawlor will miss this weekend's matches due to Covid considerations and replacements will be announced.

As with all Armadale meetings this week's match will be Live Streamed, details in the EMTV section of the club website.
