"Next in line for the EMTV+ viewers is season 2000, and as a first recommendation for that season I have selected the visit of Reading on 2nd June. It wasn't as close as other matches against the Racers, who were always good value at Armadale, but it did have some interesting features. One was the first visit of Italy's greatest ever rider Armando Castagna, who did an amusing interview for us. Then there was the contribution of Phil Morris go dished out, and received, some X-certificate speedway, especially when up against Kevin Little – normally the most even-tempered of riders!"
