In a bitter blow to the start of the Championship Play Off campaign, tonight's match against Redcar has been postponed due to the weather.

Rain had fallen much of the week over Armadale Stadium, however Friday's forecast was more optimistic with a lower chance of showers throughout the day. Sadly, the showers around lunchtime fell heavier than forecast and more appeared to be forecast for later. Although the track had been prepared last weekend to withstand the rain, the heavy shower around 2pm on top of the previous rain left the track unfit for racing.

Monarchs and Bears promotions are now discussing options for rescheduling the fixture as soon as possible to avoid a pile up of fixtures later in October.

The away match at Redcar on Sunday from 6:30pm will now become the first leg. Tickets are on sale now via the Redcar website, plus for those who aren't able to travel, the match will be live streamed.
