The Monarchs Speedway Academy is proud to be introduced into the Scottish Auto Cycle Union as an affiliated club.

The newly inaugurated Monarchs Speedway Academy has proved a tremendous success throughout the 2021 season, introducing children as young as 5 to the world of speedway racing.

The SACU development staff have been working with the Club to create a development plan and aid in securing funding to strengthen the delivery of the academy programme.

Monarchs Promoter John Campbell said "It has been fantastic to see the progress made in the space of a shortened season. The enthusiasm from the kids to grab the opportunity to race speedway has been incredible. Becoming affiliated with the SACU further legitimises the Academy as a true path to speedway as well as motorcycling as a whole."

SACU National Development Officer Shabaz Khan commented: "We're very excited to start working with Garry [Dickson, Academy Co-Ordinator] and the rest of the volunteers at Monarchs Speedway Academy. The Club are very proactive and plans have already begun on how we can support their programme. Growing motorcycle sport by working in partnership with our clubs is very important to us."

The Academy is always on the look out to introduce more budding youngsters to its sessions. Find out more about how to join over on the Monarchs Speedway Academy webpage.
