Monarchs Community Initiative was proud to welcome families from local charity Team Jak to Friday's match against Scunthorpe.

Team Jak is a local charity based in Livingston who support families all over Scotland that have been impacted by childhood cancer.

Monarchs were delighted to welcome along the kids to create fantastic memories. Community Initiative Co-Ordinator Scott Wilson said, "Our relationship with Team Jak is a very special one. They are a fantastic organisation who do incredible work.

"We are honoured to help play a small part in that by offering the families that Team Jak work with the opportunity to enjoy a night of fun and making memories together.

"This really is what our Community Initiative is all about - using our platform as a club, and the spectacular sport we have here, to give something back to the local community."

Colette Gough, Children Young People & Families Lead at Team Jak added, "Our aim to create smiles and ease the journey by offering practical, social and emotional support to the whole family while a child goes through treatment and beyond.

"We are so pleased and privileged to be working with the Edinburgh Monarchs to provide an amazing opportunity for our families to experience something exhilarating and fun; precious time together making happy memories to balance out the tougher days.

"We are incredibly grateful to have visited Armadale Stadium for the 3rd season in a row and are always given such a warm welcome. The families loved visiting the pit lanes and getting up close to the bikes before watching the thrilling races. There were definitely plenty of smiles created again on Friday.

"Thank you to the whole Monarchs team and community for the amazing welcome and support for our Inspirational Warriors... you guys are AMAZING!"
