British Speedway is pleased to announce the continuation of its title sponsorship agreement with Cab Direct for the 2026 season.

The UK's leading taxi supplier will once again support both the Cab Direct Championship and the Cab Direct MAXiCab Knockout Cup, marking the fourth consecutive year of this successful partnership.

Building on an exciting 2025 campaign filled with competitive racing and strong fan engagement, the 2026 season is set to deliver even more action. Clubs from across the UK will compete for the Cab Direct Championship title, while the MAXiCab Knockout Cup returns following a highly successful launch year.

The Ford MAXiCab, introduced in early 2025 and developed in collaboration with Ford for the UK taxi market, continues to stand out as a major industry innovation. Offering advanced technology, both PHEV and fully electric BEV options, and exceptional accessibility including excellent space and comfort for wheelchair users, the MAXiCab has quickly become a favourite among drivers and passengers.

Lisa Keir - Head of Marketing at Cab Direct - said, "We're proud to continue our sponsorship of the British Speedway Championship for another season.

"The partnership gives us a brilliant opportunity to support a sport with passionate fans and a strong community across the UK.

"With events taking place nationwide, it's exciting to see the MAXiCab name represented throughout the racing calendar.

"We're looking forward to another year of outstanding competition and unforgettable moments on the track."

With club line-ups for 2026 now finalised and with preparation at an advanced stage, anticipation is building for the new season which promises another showcase of speed, skill and sporting drama.

British Speedway Chairman Rob Godfrey said, "When we first linked up with Cab Direct in 2023, we very much hoped it would be the start of a long-term relationship, and I'm delighted that has proved to be the case.

"To have them back for a fourth season provides real stability and it's an arrangement where there are clear mutual benefits.

"Last year we saw Cab Direct extending their deal to cover the KO Cup under the MAXiCab brand, and we're very pleased that is also continuing in 2026.

"I believe the Cab Direct Championship is going to be hugely competitive this season, with all nine clubs looking very capable, and we are all looking forward to the on-track action as well as spreading the word along with our friends at Cab Direct."

As the countdown to spring continues, the renewed partnership between Cab Direct and British Speedway sets the stage for another memorable year of high‑level competition across the UK.
