The British Youth Championship swung into life with Round 1 of the 2026 series staged at Glasgow today.

Monarchs Speedway Academy rider Lewis Hague put in a dominant unbeaten performance to take first place in the 125cc category.

Younger brother Callum rode steadily before unfortunately collecting the bike of a fallen rider which ended his afternoon. The Hague family have reported that Callum has a cracked bone in the second toe of his right foot.

Callum is in good spirits considering the injury and all at the club wish Callum well for a speedy recovery.

In the 500cc category there was further MSA interest with Rocco Webb and Liam Morris taking part.

Liam is now 14 and able to race at the 500cc level, this being his first competitive appearance. He made some terrific starts to put himself well in the mix - finishing 6th overall on 5 points.

Rocco suffered some bike problems which limited his scoring - finishing on 4 points in 7th place.
