For the next two Fridays, the focus at Armadale belongs to Edinburgh Monarchs Academy - and with the team unbeaten and sitting top of the National Development League, there is a title charge to get behind.

The Academy have enjoyed an excellent season so far, winning all five of their opening matches and building a four-point advantage at the top of the NDL table.

They now have three home matches remaining, starting this Friday when Oxford Chargers visit Armadale.

The Chargers were champions last year, pipping the Academy by one point and come into this on the back of a recent victory over fellow title challengers Leicester, a tough challenge awaits.

The following Friday, 11 September, brings a doubleheader at Armadale as the Academy take on Leicester Lion Cubs and Buxton Bulls - currently the two teams immediately behind in the league table.

There is still plenty of racing to come away from home too, with visits to Oxford and Leicester still on the schedule, but the next fortnight gives Monarchs supporters three opportunities to get behind the Academy at Armadale as the NDL title race reaches its closing stages.

With no senior Monarchs home fixture over the next two weeks, this is the Academy's time to take centre stage.

They've put themselves in a great position. Now it's time to get behind them.
