The Scotwaste Monarchs race their second double header of the season on Friday with a start time of 7pm and opposition coming from first Glasgow Tigers and then Rye House Rockets.

By beating Ipswich tonight the Scotwaste Monarchs ensured that they remain favourites to grab the sixth Playoff position in the Premier League, though the Witches would be happy enough to take a point in what was rather a contentious affair.

This was the second match in two days between the sides most likely to take the sixth Playoff position.

It's High Noon time at Armadale this Friday (7.30) when Monarchs have to shoot down the Ipswich 'Sackers' Witches if they want to leapfrog them into that all-important sixth Premier League Play-Off qualifying place.

We led by five points after the first five races at Ipswich, but eventually lost ground and in spite of scoring a final heat 4-2 we went down 48-41 and narrowly missed gaining what would have been a very important point.

The Scotwaste Monarchs currently hold sixth place in the Premier League which puts them in a qualifying position for the Playoffs – but this week sees them race home and away against Ipswich, who appear to be their main rivals for the place.

Following a disappointing night at Armadale on Friday for the first double header of the season the Scotwaste Monarchs management have decided to make a price adjustment for the next double header coming up on 14th September when Glasgow and Rye House are the visitors.
