It's now less than twenty four hours until the biggest ever derby in British Speedway gets underway as we set out to defend our League Championship

The gates at Ashfield will be open at 4.00pm on Friday to allow the very early arrivals to get their tea and they have a programme of events right up to the tapes rising at 7.30pm

All our riders have come through their various meetings safely so it's a full strength team we have on duty at Ashfield. We've only managed that once before on our three official visits to the west this season.

Looking ahead to Saturday, our highest ever sale of pre match day discounted tickets was for the League Cup Final three weeks ago but with much more than twenty four hours to go before we get underway at Armadale for the deciding leg we have already exceeded that record by a considerable amount. That can only mean that we will have our biggest crowd of the stadium on Saturday.

We still have six places available for VIP hospitality. In addition to the offer of a buffet and drinks our hospitality area also offers the best view in the stadium.

Supporters should note that on our busiest of nights there always seems to be plenty of room under the home straight cover towards the first bend. That's where the Peterborough fans watched the match from last week. There is a gate at the far end of the enclosure so it is possible to walk down the front of the enclosure on the roadway and access the terraces at the end.

Our Championship Final forty page programme is already printed and ready for sale at £3 on Saturday evening.

Our pre match day discounted ticket offer will end at 4.00pm on Friday although it will be possible to continue to purchase tickets online throughout the remainder of Friday and into Saturday afternoon. It will also be possible to pay at the gate on Saturday.
