We started well and led after 4 heats, we finished strongly with Theo and Andrew on song, but the bit in the middle was a bit of a problem as we went down 53-39 to Newcastle, who now top the Premier League.

Saturday night’s results have ensured that the Scotwaste Monarchs will finish in the top six of the Premier League and thus take part in the Playoffs which will this season decide the destination of the title.

It was a triumph for stamina as well as skill as the Scotwaste Monarchs took six points from two matches, scoring 57 against both Glasgow and Rye House in matches which were tight in the early stages.
