Well here we go again as, for the third time in five weeks, King's Lynn are the visitors to Armadale on Friday. This time it's for the first leg of the final of the Premier League Knockout Cup, the one trophy we didn't win last year. Again we are looking for the biggest lead possible to take back down to the Norfolk Arena next Wednesday.

The track was wet and slippery and Monarchs could do no better than a 7-point advantage against King's Lynn, which will leave the Stars confident that they can win the KO Cup in Wednesday's second leg.

Regreattbly Michal's ankle injury has not healed and he will miss at least the home legs of the Cup Final on Friday and the EL Promotion match on Saturday.

The Scotwaste Monarchs are having an extraordinary finish to the season and will be racing two of the biggest meetings in their history at Armadale on successive days ? the Knockout Cup Final against King's Lynn on Friday (7.30pm) and the Promotion / Relegation Playoff against Belle Vue on Saturday (7pm).

This was a memorable performance at the Norfolk Arena and brought us our fourth national trophy in two years. Never at any stage were we put under pressure by the King?s Lynn side even though we ?enjoyed? virtually all of the bad luck going.

The Scotwaste Monarchs turned in a superb display to comfortably retain the Premier Playoff Trophy in a match which, with reasonable luck, they would have won.

King?s Lynn only brought four of their own riders plus two guests, but they all fought hard to hold Monarchs to a 20-point advantage which means that both teams go in to Tuesday?s second leg with a chance.

"King's Lynn will be making as many visits to Armadale as Glasgow this year ? four in total! Friday night sees the third of these visits this time in the Play Off final, first leg. Just as in the Premier Trophy Final we need to build up as big a lead as possible.

The Scotwaste Monarchs beat King's Lynn 56-36 in the first leg of the Premier Playoff and so gave themselves a fighting chance of qualifying to meet Belle Vue for an Elite League place.

The Scotwaste Monarchs had to wait till Wednesday night to be absolutely sure of their opposition in the Premier Playoff Final ? but in the end there were no shocks and King's Lynn came through comfortably.
